Laser Therapy in La Porte, TX

How Laser Therapy Works

Laser therapy uses a technique called photobiomodulation, a fancy term that refers to light energy stimulation. Light energy stimulates your pet’s healthy cells to facilitate faster healing and reduce pain and inflammation, too. This complicated cellular process has simple and straightforward results: pain reduction and healing.

Frequency of Laser Therapy Treatments

The number and length of your pet’s treatments will vary depending on their conditions, as well as other factors such as coat color and length, their breed, age, and more. Generally, a session can last from about 10-30 minutes. Some conditions such as wound healing will only need one or two sessions to see results. Chronic conditions typically need multiple sessions per week until improvements are seen, then we can taper off treatments to once a week, once every two weeks, and so on.
